We are seeking a Web Developer who will assist in various facets of web production and user interface design, including HTML/CSS coding, navigation design, client-side to server-side communications using AJAX, web form design and various other media initiatives.
The successful candidate will be up to date on current trends in web design, will be experienced with data driven websites, will have experience with server-side programming, JavaScript programming, and will understand concepts of web usability and effective site navigation.
Ideally you will have:
Experience with AJAX and Javascript (JSON experience an asset)
Experience with database and data-driven website design
Experience coding valid HTML and CSS
Experience coding in one or more server-side programming languages
Understanding of concepts of web usability
Exceptional attention to detail
Able to prioritize and manage tasks
Good communication skills
Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
Work within the web team to develop new, and maintain existing corporate and event websites
Work with technologies such as AJAX to add features and functionality
Work closely with programmers responsible for our server-side code base
Work with the Web Marketing Manager to ensure a high level of web usability
Research and employ new and emerging technologies as appropriate
Work to improve reliability and reduce load times of web pages as appropriate
Other projects as assigned
