			<title>Facility Maintenance Manager</title>

			<description>Camp Jubilee Retreat and Conference Centre is made up of 128 acres of West Coast Wilderness and welcomes over 6000 guests per year.  It is located a short 30 minute boat ride from Deep Cove in North Vancouver BC(Accessible only by boat).  Camp Jubilee is comprised of 17 accommodation cabins, 2 lodges, private dock, a staff house, large waterfront, variety of outdoor recreational amenities (i.e. high ropes and climbing walls), Trails etc.  

The camp is serviced by water supply that is chlorinated on site as well as multiple septic fields.  It is on the BC Hydro grid and has a back-up generator as well as on site fire suppression in the form of a fire pump, hydrants, sprinklers and other related infrastructure.  All supplies are boated in as is all garbage boated out.   The camp is currently renewing elements of its infrastructure (electrical servicing, septic, water supply) as well as expanding and renewing the camp facilities.

The Facility Manager is an integral part of the management team, playing the key leadership role for daily
operation, annual maintenance and long-term health of all physical assets on site year round at Camp Jubilee.  This position is the key site contact for all regular and contracted maintenance and facility services.

This position requires a highly motivated; self-starting individual that has a combination of hands-on working knowledge of facility repair and the ability to keep focused on the longer-term priorities of managing a large asset. A key element to this position is a proven successful history of working with children and youth that includes relationship building skills as well as an educator and mentor. 
The Facility Manager is be responsible for overall facility management and maintenance including building maintenance, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, garbage/Recycling management, painting, water and sewage management, lawn and trail maintenance and supervision of maintenance staff.  
In addition, the Facility Manager is responsible for developing and implementing of a comprehensive preventative maintenance program, budget monitoring and planning, coordination and implementation weekly, monthly and seasonal job priorities.</description>

Projects vary in size from creation of the Gold Country Visitors Guide, an 80 page publication which has over 30,000 copies printed annually to operation of the award-winning GeoTourism Program.

The successful candidate reports to the board of directors and will also work with Gold Countrys graphic designer to create marketing campaigns in a variety of media including print, radio and television. 

Gold Country Communities Society (GCCS) is a non-profit society whose purpose is:

related economic development an the necessary technology to improve
the economy of member communities; encouraging and supporting a strong
local and regional sustainable tourism industry.

Detailed Job Description:

Skills Required:

	Skilled in marketing or economic development
	Time management skills, self motivated, ability to work independently
	Ability to multi-task
	Proficient writing/grammar skills
	Strong research skills
	Ability to type quickly &amp; accurately
	Exceptional communication skills, able to work with the public and government
	Computer program and internet usage skills
	Basic book keeping and budget management an asset

Duties:

	Manage &amp; implement projects as directed by GCCS Board of Directors
	Regional sales and promotions 
	Website maintenance and direction
	Maintain brand standards
	Correspondence &amp; clerical duties
	Package &amp; mail responses to internet, telephone &amp; mail inquiries
	Manage updating &amp; cataloguing of photo, video and info libraries
	Arrange and attend Gold Country Directors meetings &amp; record minutes
	Maintain society files 
	Backup files regularly to CD &amp; maintain CD index system
	Attend tradeshows, events, training etc. as required
	Liaise with communities, associations, tourism regions as required
	and other related duties

Must have own transportation, travel will be involved as part of the job.
